newartcenter.info in residency at Rupert, Vilnius

As social media affect the way we work and communicate we tend to have blurred perception of what remains offline when we are not. The pervasive technology we are using makes most of us unable to consider switching off for a single day. How much time do we spend online and which apps do we use most? Have we become more communicative thanks to Facebook messenger? Are we taking more photos because of Instagram?

newartcenter.info's residency in Vilnius, Lithuania proceeded with observations on how people actually connect with each other considering that they are using their portable devices. The project consists of informal conversations and meetings with local residents whose work is potentially influenced by technologies in order to investigate the boundaries of their daily rituals.
